If your design at your house is contemporary, then you are mostly will be looking for modern furnitures. Modern end tables are a perfect complement for your contemporary bed and your bedroom furniture. There are hundreds if not thousands of styles, color, designs that you can choose from and most end tables are included in the bedroom package that they normally sell from your local furniture store. But, sometimes it is better to be able to pick up a different style modern end tables giving you a different look in your bedroom. Furnitures that are sold in these stores are usually not made of real wood but of some type of compressed artificial wood and just covered with veneer so as to look like a stained wood piece. They will usually not last long, like the veneer will flake off or the whole furniture itself will feel cheap and if they do last longer, their resale value is much cheaper as compared to real wood furnitures.

You will also notice that contemporary furnitures are mostly cheaper than other styles and you will only find a few of them that are made of wood or other durable materials. Try checking your local furniture first if you can find anything that you like and you will be able to see and feel on how well it is made etc. and have a good check before buying it.
